An elected Dutton Littleproud Coalition Government will increase federal funding for Melbourne Airport Rail by $1.5 billion, to $6.5 billion – the full 50 per cent share of the estimated $13 billion cost of the project under Victoria’s 2022 Big Build Airport Rail Business Case.
This will be matched with $1.5 billion by a future Victorian Liberals and Nationals Government, in addition to Victoria’s existing $5 billion commitment.
Also note
A Dutton Coalition Government will prioritise the Melbourne Airport Rail Link and cancel the Albanese Government’s $2.2 billion commitment towards Jacinta Allan’s $200 billion Suburban Rail Loop which is an unfunded, cruel hoax of a project.
The word "future" seems like it might be important?
This reprioritisation call still seems to be ongoing?

The Victorian Liberals are calling for the pausing of Suburban Rail Loop East and the reprioritisation of funds into the delivery of Melbourne’s much-needed Airport Rail Link project.
Seems like Labour are still in power?

So Victorian Liberals and Nationals Government would need to be elected to actually get that matching $1.5bn commitment?

@mods It seems the market creator isn't active anymore. My research says there is still a $1Bn funding gap for this project and so the question should resolve No
